Let's learn japanese together! I thought of starting this thread and we all have to contribute a japanese word and then we can all learn it together!
Just type the word *or phrase*, it can mean anythg, and give the meaning as well!
Ok ok, since I started it.. I'll contribute first! As my favourite chibi of Tenipuri always says:
[glow=red,2,300]Mada mada dane[/glow] Not yet, not quite there yet, not enough.
I think its a bit insulting, after seeing the reactions on his senpais faces after Ryoma says his catch phrase.
Anyway, I provided a word and a phrase. Next please!

"Shiranai" >> "I donno"
Example from "Nobody Knows", jap. mov tat we watched at Black's, remember?
Akira asked Kyoko where did Shigure go after he bought instant noodle for him:
Akira: "Shigure wa doko?" Kyoko: "Shiranai"

Alternatively, you can use, "wakarimasen" or "wakaranai".

nihonggo ga wakarimasen deshita.
or if u wanna say "can you speak *understand* english?"
eigo ga wakarimashita?
If you forget that phrase, just go with the normal "CAN YOU SPEAKA ENGLISHA?" *with enthusiastic facial expressions*

nihonggo ga wakarimasen deshita. If you say this that means u donno jap. last time, now you know. so you say: nihonggo ga wakarimasen desu. ---------->>> HAHA! "Wakarimasen nihonggo" also can lah!! You just say that in their face, they sure know one you cant speak japanese.
